How to Make Kandil Simit (Kıyır Kıyır)?

How to Make Kandil Simit (Kıyır Kıyır)? Ingredients for the Recipe
- 1 cup of butter at room temperature (200gr)
- 2 eggs (yolk to the dough, outside the white)
- half a tea glass of olive oil (50 ml)
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1 sweet spice salt
- half a teaspoon of mahleb
- 1 package baking powder
- 3-3,5 glasses of flour
- Roasted sesame and black cumin seeds
Fabrication:
- Place the egg yolks, olive oil and butter in a mixing bowl and mix.
- Add salt and sugar and mix again.
- Add 2 cups of sifted flour, mahaleb, vinegar and baking powder and start kneading. When the dough is runny but homogeneous, add the remaining flour little by little and knead until it does not stick to your hands.
- Break off walnut-sized pieces from the dough.
- Roll the dough you cut off on the counter to form finger-width rolls and give it a ring shape.
- Arrange the prepared bagels on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper at 2 cm intervals. Do the same until all the dough is gone.
- Lightly beat the egg whites and place the bagels on the tray, first dipping them in the egg whites and then in the sesame seeds. (12 pieces)
- Brush the other half with the egg yolk and molasses mixture and sprinkle with black cumin.
- Bake the bagels in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden brown (about 17-20 minutes).
- Serve the bagels you have cooled on the tray.
