Hello Dear Friends,

When I cooked my lahmacun recipe at home a few times in the last month, the question came to our minds why we didn't prepare lavash for wrapping :)

50 min

On the first day, we prepared doner rolls for iftar. We put the rest in the freezer bag in an airtight way, now I don't know whether it will be a meatball wrap or chickpea wrap this evening :)

It doesn't take much effort to prepare this recipe. Let the yoghurt ferment a little, open it well with flour. If your pan is small, make 8 meringues instead of 10, so they will not be thick and it will be easier to cook. Do not forget that the type of flour can increase or decrease depending on the consistency, which is very effective.

You can send me the recipes you use at home via direct message from Instagram. I would love to share with your photos in my story :) My Instagram account: @kitchensirlari

Ingredients for Homemade Lavash Recipe

For the dough:

  • 3 water glass flour
  • 1 cup + half a cup of warm water
  • 1 sweet spice salt
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Fabrication:

  1. Take the warm water into the mixer bowl, add sugar and yeast and mix. Let it rise for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt and oil and knead a soft dough.
  3. Cover the dough with cling wrap and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
  4. Take the fermented dough on the floured counter and collect it.
  5. Divide into 8 equal parts and make meringues on the floured counter.
  6. Roll out each meringues the size of your pan.
  7. Fry both sides in the heated pan (take care not to dry it too much)
  8. As it cooks, stack it with lavash and cover it with a blanket to keep it soft.
