French Toast with Ice Cream

Materials (for 2 person)

  • 1 orange,
  • 2 quinces,
  • 330 gr granulated sugar (2 cups),
  • 250 ml of water,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 2 tablespoons of cream (30 g),
  • ½ packet of vanilla
  • 4 slices of toast bread,
  • 30 g butter (1 soup + 1 teaspoon),
  • 4 balls of Carte d'Or Classic Pistachio Ice Cream

Instructions

  1. Peel the quinces, cut them in half, remove the middle and separate the seeds.
  2. Grate the rind of the orange and squeeze out the juice.
  3. Put the quinces and seeds in the pot with granulated sugar, orange peel and juice.
  4. Add 250 ml of water and boil until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Put it in a baking dish with its water, and cook it in your oven, which you preheated at 200 degrees, for 45 minutes until the water becomes paste and the color of the quinces turns pink.
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Whisk the cream, eggs and vanilla.
  8. Dip both sides of the bread into the mixture.
  9. Put the butter in the pan, when it melts, fry both sides of the bread.
  10. Place the quinces on the hot bread.
  11. Serve with Carte d'Or Classic Pistachio Ice Cream.
  12. If you want, you can decorate with caramel sauce.
  13. You can also use pancakes or pancakes instead of toast breads.
