Today I decided to share a recipe that I have prepared with pleasure, waiting to meet you for a long time. I prepared this recipe in the kitchen of the White House, which I told you about before. In fact, I went there both to see my friends, to stay and to go to Gülizar sister, who is indispensable for the kitchen. Pumpkin Pie I went to learn the recipe :) Then somehow I found myself kneading the pastry dough for Sunday Breakfast :)

Ingredients for Cheese Pie Recipe

For the dough:

  • 150 g margarine or butter
  • 2 egg white
  • 3,5 – 4 glasses of flour (approximately 500 g)
  • 1 finger missing from 1 glass of water
  • 1,5 sweet spice salt
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 pack of instant yeast (10 g)

For inside:

  • Grated Cheddar Cheese

For the above:

  • 2 egg yolks + 2 tablespoon of milk
  • Sesame

Fabrication:

  1. Take the flour in a mixing bowl, add salt, yeast and sugar on it.
  2. Melt the margarine, add the egg whites and water to the flour and knead.
  3. After the dough comes together, take it to the counter. If the dough feels hard, sprinkle some water with your fingertips and continue kneading for 5 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough you have kneaded into a ball and rest it for 15-20 minutes by covering it with cling film.
  5. Break off tangerine-sized pieces from the fermented dough and make small balls by nesting them on the counter.
  6. Take the meringue on the lightly floured counter and open it with your hands without thinning it too much.
  7. Put some of the grated cheddar cheese in the middle of the dough and fold the dough in half to close it. Press the ends with your hand so that they do not open.
  8. Arrange the pastries on a baking tray with greaseproof paper at 3-4 cm intervals.
  9. Brush them with egg yolk whisked with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  10. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees until golden brown.
