Bread Dessert
Hello Dear Friends,
The only recipe I shared 10 years ago and I am surprised why I waited so long to cook it again is bread dessert. I really like it and it comes to mind all the time. It was one of my late grandmother's favorite and most frequently prepared desserts.
Maybe I was waiting for the right bread to come :) The deceased used to bake it especially with unsalted bread. So I prepared it with our own homemade sourdough bread.
Ingredients for Bread Dessert Recipe
1 inch thick sliced bread
3 large eggs
1 cup of Yudum Sunflower Oil
For the syrup:
2,5 water glass of water
2 cups granulated sugar
4-5 drops of lemon juice
For the above:
Strawberry
Walnut
Filet Peanuts
Cream and fresh cheese upon request
Fabrication:
1. For the syrup, bring the water and sugar to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
2. Add lemon juice to the syrup that you have boiled for 10 minutes, boil it for 2-3 more minutes on low heat and leave it to cool.
3. Beat the eggs well in a deep bowl. Dip the stale bread that you sliced before in the egg on both sides.
4. After the bread is completely covered with eggs, fry it in a pan with Yudum Sunflower Oil.
5. Throw the toasted bread into the cold syrup and wait until it absorbs the syrup.
6. Take the desserts that absorb the syrup on a serving plate and pour the remaining syrup on it.
7. Serve, garnishing as desired.
