Good morning on a sunny and pleasant Sunday morning! With the holidays just around the corner, I'm sure everyone is in a rush to clean up the holiday, just like me. Even though I haven't started yet or maybe never will because of my work, my heart goes out to you about this cleaning job! One way or another, this Sunday will be a little tiring for all of us.

Again, I have a delicious recipe for you that you can easily prepare with the ingredients at home. The combination of zucchini + cheese + béchamel sauce, which I like very much, will be appreciated by your guests.

There is no preparation that will take time other than boiling and cooling the lids for 8-10 minutes beforehand. The important thing here is not to leave the zucchini too fresh, but not to boil them so much that they break.

Take it easy everyone, love….

Stuffed Zucchini with Béchamel Sauce

Ingredients for Baked Zucchini with Béchamel Sauce

  • 50 g feta cheese
  • 3 medium zucchini
  • 1 pieces of eggs
  • 1 cloves of garlic

For the bechamel sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons of margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 water glass milk

For the above:

  • 1 teaspoon grated cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs

Fabrication:

  1. Wash the zucchinis and cut them into two pieces lengthwise. Carve out the insides of the zucchinis you cut with a spoon.
  2. Boil the zucchinis in plenty of water for about 10 minutes. Set the boiled zucchini aside to drain.
  3. For the béchamel sauce, put the margarine and flour in a pot and fry over medium heat until the flour changes its color slightly. While adding the milk little by little, mix it by whisking quickly. When the sauce reaches a thick consistency, remove it from the stove.
  4. Mix feta cheese with minced garlic and egg. Share the stuffing you prepared among the zucchinis.
  5. Pour the béchamel sauce over the zucchinis and place the zucchinis on the baking tray.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes, sprinkle grated cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top and bake until golden brown.
  7. Serve the stuffed zucchini whole or sliced.
