Artichoke Recipes
Hello Dear Friends,
If you remember, I prepared a list of Strawberry recipes last week. I decided that our guest this week should be artichoke, one of the beauties of the season :) We usually cannot decide what to do with the artichoke that we see in the market and in the markets. This list will offer you both stylish and delicious alternatives :)
Before moving on to the list, I would like to point out 1-2 important points that you should pay attention to when buying artichokes.
First of all, you should be careful that the artichokes are heavy and hard, and the leaves are fragile, you should not prefer those with black spots on their leaves. The artichoke is actually a flower bud, if its leaves are too open, it is a sign that it is starting to escape to this card.
Let's take a look at our list, which came out as a result of my research on ingenious blogs :)
1. Stuffed Artichokes with Meat
Our first recipe, which I prepared with love “Stuffed Artichokes with Meat” You can find the recipe here. Of course, you can reach the tricks about cleaning from my recipe.
2. Artichoke with Olive Oil (Izmir Style)
This recipe belongs to one of our bloggers, Billur Hanım. There are tricks that will attract the attention of those who have not cooked artichokes with olive oil with their leaves before. You can find the schedule here.
3. Boiled Artichokes
Sometimes simple and elegant presentations can blow your mind. Reyhan Hanım's Artichoke Boiled recipe served with sauce You can find it here.
4. Chicken Artichokes with Béchamel Sauce
If you are tired of preparing stuffed artichokes with classic olive oil, we have a great meat dish for you :) A recipe that will surprise your guests and even those who don't like artichokes can't wait to taste. You can find it here.
5. Mustard Potato Salad in an Artichoke Dish
It is a candidate to be a nice start for your guest tables with its elegant presentation and different taste. Tariff Senem Ms. available on the blog.
6. Artichoke with Legumes
You can also serve artichokes with different flavors. Especially fresh broad beans, I think, are an incredible harmony. Again, an elegant recipe that you can present in artichoke bowls. You can find Baklali Artichoke here.
7. Artichoke Rice
I have made various kinds of rice until today, but I have never tried the one with peas and artichokes before. For this reason, Enem's recipe caught my attention. I will definitely try it in the coming days :) You can find it here.
8. Artichoke Chips and Aioli Sauce
I don't know if you've ever tried artichoke like this before, but you should definitely taste it once. I think the aroma of artichoke, which gives a sweet taste when eaten raw, comes out much more when boiled. You can find the recipe here.
9. Artichokes with Orange
Those who have made celery with orange or tangerine before know, this type of sweet touch goes well with olive oil. To the Orange Artichoke Recipe You can find it here.
10. Artichokes with Olive Oil
The last recipe of our list is artichokes cooked in olive oil, which I had the chance to taste years ago in Izmir. If you have more time and want to prepare a practical pot meal You can find the recipe here.
Love…
Hello…
I'm a total artichoke lover… it is not enough for me and my family to eat it only at a certain time of the year… so how can I store my artichokes for the winter in the deep freezer, only as root or with the leaves? I will be glad if you can help...
Respects
It's a super resource, well done, all the recipes look super. A suggestion from me, artichoke paste with apple and almond

love,
Dear Kitchen Secrets,
I wanted to write a few things for the “Izmir style artichoke” that you bought from Billur Hanim's site and published. I am a 60-year-old from Izmir and we have been making this artichoke for years, whether it is my mother or the other ladies of the house. Please don't take what I wrote as arrogant, but if you give people wrong descriptions, this food, which is so retired, will not be eaten when 7 lemons are squeezed and it is beaten with a rolling pin :(
First of all, the inner material is not roasted, it is prepared raw. dry onions are not added, only fresh onions are put in, there is no need for sugar because the vegetable itself is sweet, I hope 1,5 glasses of rice is not a glass of water, I only call 7 lemons Oh my God, the issue of softening it by rolling it with a rolling pin, what can I say, is this an octopus?
Have a nice weekend, love.
Hello Aylin,
It's not my place, but as someone who grew up in Izmir and moved to Istanbul, I wanted to write to you.
People are surprised when they see this recipe, but believe me, if you see artichokes sold in Istanbul, you may not want to eat artichokes again. :) Perhaps these suggestions may have been given to help them a little bit. When compared with those sold in Izmir, the artichokes and celery sold in most neighborhood markets in Istanbul give the impression of coming from another world.
Likewise, 7 lemons may also be due to lemons with very little juice.
Have a nice day.
