Apple candy
I was looking for a good apple candy recipe for a long time. By the way, this is the second attempt, and in my first attempt, I found a recipe on the internet and applied it. At first everything was perfect. While thinking of eating red candied red apples with pleasure. The coating on it froze :( It was like frosted glass. Of course, all the apples were thrown away. I bought this recipe from the cookbook, the visuality is perfect, but the sugar does not stay on the apple for a long time and it flows. Even though I kept it in the fridge for 2 night, there was no freezing and hardening specific to apple candy. So as you can see in the photo you ate while you ate :)
Anyway, my actions will continue without hesitation, I will try success or develop a new recipe now. In this recipe, I think it should be tried once again by reducing the water… You can try to reduce the amount of water or lemon juice.
Ingredients for Candy Apples Recipe
- 1 apples
- 1,5 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoons of glucose
- Juice of 1 lemons
- 1 water glass of water
- half a teaspoon of food coloring
Fabrication:
- Take sugar, glucose and water in a bowl and melt them by stirring over low heat.
- When it starts to boil, add lemon juice and food coloring to increase the heat.
- Stir occasionally for 5-10 minutes. boil more.
- Turn off the stove and wait for it to cool a bit. (I used the thick Adana skewer sticks I bought from the market.)
- Stick skewers into your apples and dip them in sugar.
- Turn it upside down in a borcam or Teflon pan and leave it in the refrigerator until it hardens.
I would not recommend glucose as a harmful substance. It will be done like waxing lollipop candy. I recommend a teaspoon of olive oil to make it shiny.
So beautiful.Exquisite

I put cherry jam instead of glucose, a red color was formed and the taste was the same, but I boiled too much, I don't know but :S
It froze so bad it became sugar
I put it in the freezer, I waited for 1 hour, then I can say that the same apple turned out to be like sugar, just like I did it …… :):)
super
Hello! I saw this place by chance and read your articles. Apple sugar is easy, looks good, tastes delicious, but it's hard at the same time.
I'm writing from New York, please try my recipe. I've made it many times, it's delicious.
8 apples
8 apple sticks
3 cups of sugar
1 cups of water
1/2 cup of glucose or white corn syrup (light corn shrup) if available
Mix these three ingredients at a temperature slightly above medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the oven temperature reaches 145 degrees. If you do not have a degree, put cold water in a glass. Put a drop of boiling syrup into it with the tip of your WOODEN spoon. If the drop falls down into a ball, it's okay. Take it off the heat and add half a tea spoon of red food coloring and mix. Then dip the apples into the syrup by turning them once or twice and place them on the aluminum papers that you lightly oiled.
I hope you can make it. Bon appetit.
Thanks a lot for the recipe :) Best regards..
nilay, i love apple candy too, but i always heard about glucose, but i don't know where to find it, here in cyprus there is almost no one who knows apple candy, even I think about its trade.bakıcaz now tsk for the recipe
I tried it, it doesn't work, the image is the same diamond sugar, but when you bite it, it sticks to your teeth like a paste, does anyone know why?
Dip the sticks into the apples beforehand, wait for the candy, then start the process…
I want to make the sugar apple too, but where can I find the glucose?
No need for glucose. Test the consistency of the syrup with an object. You can test this object to freeze in a glass of water by dipping the tea (crotch) into the syrup. When you get the right consistency. dipping your sticky apples into the intense red syrup. Consume within 3 days after placing on a tray. You can add the essence and sweetener you want to the remaining syrup (can be cinnamon essence).
we did it but it didn't hold up well on the apple but it's soo nice
Friends, there is a product called "Kımtartar", which is sold in herbalists, if you do not add it, you will never get a healthy product.
take it easy
friends, nurettin bird, I agree with our friend, it can't be done without crusher because it makes sugar like glass
SOMETHING SUPERIOR TO ME
Friends, as far as I know, glucose prevents sugar from freezing, keeps it soft.
i made it with cherry juice powder, the room is nice
Did you use food coloring?
Thanks for posting it ;)
It tastes so good :D
Great one :D
It's really good, it's my favorite dessert, but it also has a chokolat apple, I haven't tasted it, but it looks good
I want to do something very beautiful
It's very nice but I can't do it. Where can I find glucoso? I don't know what it is, I can't actually. It's very nice but I can't:@
greetings
I made it according to your recipe. The sugar on the apple was crunchy, but after biting it sticks to the teeth like paste. where did i go wrong
Apple candy looks good, but the preparation is completely wrong and because you can't keep the temperature, it flows. Also, apple sugar is never put in the cupboard, it flows faster and becomes watery. Let's come to the actual preparation, mix a glass of sugar with water to make it into porridge, add lemon powder in the size of lentils and boil it until it reaches 160 degrees. During boiling, a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and the later you throw the food coloring, the more beautiful color it will give. Then, dip the apples into the syrup after it reaches the degree of sherbet, it will stay in the same shape for at least 1 week. Bon appetit
You can find food coloring from herbalists and glucose from pharmacies.
your apple candy melted because it went into the fridge….the sugar is watered down.
Not only the taste, but also the smell of this candy apple is important. Make it with fragrant Niğde apples. Don't mind the apple-like herbs sold in the market.
Where can we find glucose and food coloring? Can you write your CV please?
wow, we're going to do it now, the teacher gave it to me heheh
WHAHHAHAHAHA! I would love to!! now i'm making candied apples.. xD I hope it works =P
where can i get the glucose with this food coloring?
Candy apples have that unique smell. It smells of sugar sticky sticky, I smelled it. In this photograph, I remembered my childhood, uncles selling candy apples and cotton candy from our childhood, putty shops on the corner, tinsmiths with bellows in their hands… And children in short shorts chasing after the balls they missed downhill.
Good luck to you…
I wish I could eat it now even if it hurts :)
This picture is super :))
I love candy apples, I always wondered how they make this candy apple, it looks very nice, I'll try it too :) good luck
There is an easy way too :) The picture was taken very well, the sugar shines beautifully on the apple :)
